Meet Rev. Terrance Frederick

Reverend Terrance “TJ” Frederick is a passionate and prophetic ministry leader devoted to empowering the next generation through faith, service, and spiritual formation. He serves as a Traveling Deacon at Saint Paul CME Church, where he leads dynamic training efforts in discipleship, worship experiences, intercessory prayer, leadership development, and community engagement.

He is the visionary leader and CEO of TLFrederick Ministries, a faith-centered initiative committed to revitalizing and restoring youth, particularly young men, through prayer, mentorship, and biblical teaching. His ministry is focused on building inclusive, transformative spaces where people can encounter God and grow with purpose.

Rev. TJ is deeply engaged in the broader life of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, serving on the Washington–Virginia District Planning Committee, the 7th Episcopal District Young Adult Ministry, the Washington- Virginia District Committee on Social Justice and Human Concerns, and the Beyond the Benediction Initiative. His leadership has been recognized with the Emerging Servant Leader Award from Bishop James B. Walker, the 56th Bishop of the CME Church.

With a strong background in Christian Education and Formation, Rev. TJ develops impactful ministry programs that resonate across generations and platforms. His work in digital ministry continues to expand the church’s reach and strengthen community connections. He is currently pursuing his Master's of Divinity in Spiritual Formation and Christian Discipleship at Regent University. He was honored by Regent University Campus Ministries with the Innovative Community Builder Award for his creative and community-focused leadership. He also contributes as a writer for The Life Builder Journal.

A distinct hallmark of his writing and ministry voice is what many now call the “Anyway Seal”—his signature practice of ending reflections, teachings, and articles with the word “Anyway.” This closing marks a reaffirmation of hope, faith, and resilience, reminding readers that God’s power remains steady regardless of circumstance.
